Ballroom Dancing

I just had a question and I hope someone can help me. Why is it so hard to find a guy partner in ballroom dancing? I just started lessons with a new teacher and because I Left the other teachers I sort of lost my partner, I am just confused as to why some guys think that in order to dance they have to be “gay” or a sissy (sorry if anyone found that offenceive) I mean is it all guys or is it just the guys that I know?

So these are my questions:
1) Do all guys feel the same way about ballroom?
2) Dose it have to alot with age
3) If you are a guy what do you think about ballroom dancing (please be honest)
