I love latin ballroom and competed for several years until I got injured, but I still get out there and boogie in the “social” with others at dancesport championships.

I competed as an amatuer for about 8 years and LOVED it. I just ran out of time in the last couple of years to really devote myself to it. But it’s the best workout you’ll ever have and it’s fun. I was partial to rhythm or latin, with Cha Cha being my absolute favorite, but I love a great waltz, tango or fox trot if you’re dancing with someone who can really lead well. I’m glad you’ve discovered the joy of ballroom. It’s really one of the best hobbies I ever developed.

i did ballroom dance since first grade, senior in high school now. I loved it, and I still do, but I had to quit because there werent any guys, and i started to really like swimming.
i competed in latin ballroom, so I know the basic 5 dances, plus a few others and some folklore dances as well… i miss it too, and i plan to eventually get back into it, once I can find a guy willing to do that…

I am primarily into social ballroom dancing. I can do all the smooth and latin style competently socially. My favorite is the waltz.
There are many people who dance ballroom. It depends on the age bracket you’re looking for. Around here (Northern California), there are more men who do ballroom than women.

Oh yeah I took dancing for a few years and I LOVED it! My favorite was swing because the music was always so upbeat and lively! Marangay was fun to. I like tango but the music was always intense. Oh and I loved cha cha and rumba! Keep up the dancing though! I wish I could still.

I’m crazy about it too. I danced competitively for years. My mom was an instructor. I love Tango, Modern Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz. I love them all lol. I used to have a great partner. My husband doesnt dance. I tried to get him to take lessons and he broke my toe lol. I wish i could find someone to dance again.

I’ve done American style (9) and social dancing for years, and I’m trying to do Standard but where I live it’s hard to find decent instruction, so it’s been a start-and-stop proposition.

Hey!!!! I do ballroom & latin. But at the moment specialising in latin. I’ve only competed in comps in my city but this year im going away to compete at Nationals, even though its months away im nervous already!!!!!!!! Though Im taking a few trips away for big comps before that so im hoping that will make me more prepared for Nationals!!!! :o)
